Gingivitis is causes by bacteria build up around the tooth that gets into the gums. It can cause puffy, red gums that are more likely to bleed while brushing or flossing. To prevent gingivitis, brush and floss everyday and talk to the dentist at your check-ups for things you could be doing better.

We recommend that you change out your tooth brush every three months, sooner if your tooth brush is worn. If you get sick, we recommend that you change out your tooth brush as soon as you are feeling better.
